Students’ Orientations

All students will be required to attend an orientation program upon their arrival in Cairo. The aim of the orientation is to introduce you to Egyptian culture, and provide you with important information regarding your course of study in Egyptian universities. You will also be provided with practical information regarding public transportation, safety, health issues, shopping and other useful information to help you adapt to your new surroundings. In addition, you will receive instruction in Egyptian spoken Arabic to help you get around. Moreover, you will be introduced to the rich history of Egypt, the Pharonic, Coptic and Islamic and visit relevant sites. You will also get a taste of the cosmopolitan culture of modern Egypt. The orientation is a combination of lectures, visits to museums, art galleries and excursions to other attractive sites in Cairo and Alexandria.
